Connecting to the DSL Service with the USB Modem

  1. Double-click the VisionNet 101U icon on your desktop.  You will see a similar screen to the one below.  Type in your username and password that was assigned to you in the corresponding boxes.  It is recommended you click Save password so that you will not have to type this in each time.  Click Connect to finish authentication.

  2. You are now connected to DSL!  Look at the bottom of your screen in the system tray.  You will see two icons that are related to the DSL service.

  3. Icon #1 is your VisionNet ADSL Service Manager.   Double-Click this icon now.  You will only need to click this icon when you are shutting down your machine.  Before shutting down your machine, click Stop ADSL.   This will allow the ADSL service to disconnect and the service to stop.

  4. Icon #2 is your Windows Dial-Up Networking Icon.   When you use Icon #1 to Stop ADSL, the Dial-Up Networking connection will end also.   You can also disconnect the ADSL service from this icon by clicking Disconnect.   If you double click on this icon, you will see the following.
